The flowers right outside my office window, right in front of me…are blooming, and the hummingbirds love them. There will likely be many photos of hummingbirds coming up while those flowers last. I love these little birds. 🙂

I’ve taken lots of hummingbird photos, but out of all of them, this has been my favorite so far…and surprisingly, I know, because it’s not such a clear photo. I think it’s because it looks more like a painting to me rather than a photo, and there is a part of me that keeps steering toward photos that look more abstract, more like paintings. I’m pretty sure it’s because there was a time in my life when painting and art were a part of my every day. That was all before the beautiful children and before life’s pace became more hectic. 🙂

California Scrub Jay

A California Scrub Jay on the lawn outside my office window. I love birds and I see a lot of them outside the office window, so every now and then I’ll post a picture. 🙂
