Katie and the Giant Sunflower

This picture is meant to look a bit like a picture in a children’s book. One final Giant Sunflower photo, with a look of awe on my four-year-old granddaughter’s face. Katie had her little hands clasped over her heart and she was looking up in amazement. If I had the time, I would surely be writing a children’s storybook titled Katie and the Giant Sunflower. 🙂

Markie ~ My Beautiful Grandson

I’ve posted a couple of pictures of this beautiful child’s sister and his mother (my daughter) before, all under the category “Family” on my category list. But I’ve never posted a picture of Markie until now. This is all to explain the reason why I may disappear from the blogging world every now and then this summer. My daughter and I have decided it might be best for Markie to spend more time with me this summer while his mother is working. Sometimes a little guy just needs a bit more attention and this is one of those times. And besides, I already know he’s an aspiring photographer…what better place for him to be than at my side. 🙂

What love looks like… :-)

I don’t usually post photos of family members here on this blog, although there are just a few tucked here and there between the many flower photos. But I took this photo of my granddaughter, Katie, today…and she seems in this photo to be such a perfect representation of what love looks like. Four years old, perpetually cute, arms outstretched, a heart brimming to overflowing with sweetness and love, full of life and sunshine. Lovely little Katie… 🙂

Katie Flower

This is Katie, my four year old granddaughter. I’ve been thinking a lot about this delicate little flower lately and wanted to share a bit about her. She’s so much like me! She even looks a bit like me at that age. Only four and already a lover of flowers, always with me when she’s here and I’m outside. She’s all sweetness and loveliness, and such a precious gift. 🙂
