Thinking of my brother and his family, and so many others who are enduring such hardship and sorrow in Colorado Springs.

    Thank you for reblogging this poem. Colorado Springs is my home and it has been so heartbreaking to see so many in our community lose so much. I hope that your brother and his family have something to go back to when this is all over.

      Oh Megan, I’m sorry. I visited my brother a few years ago and was stunned at how beautiful that entire area is. It hurts my heart to hear of the devastation to the landscape and to so many homes, over 300 homes from what I’ve heard. The last I heard, my brother’s home was still standing, but streets all around them have suffered loss. They haven’t been able to return to their area yet. Thank you for commenting…and take care.
