A California Scrub Jay on the lawn outside my office window. I love birds and I see a lot of them outside the office window, so every now and then I’ll post a picture. π

Adorable bird – and what an adorable stance! Great shot, all around. Thanks for sharing. π #iHeartNature
I know…isn’t he cute? I’ll probably be posting pictures of these same birds every now and then because they’re always up to something right outside the office window. And birds are so amusing. Thanks for your comment!
I’ll be sure to check back, then! π I agree, birds are so fun to watch… I don’t think they’re given nearly the credit they deserve. Smart & incredibly industrious little creatures, to be sure!
VERY smart creatures…you’re right! π
I get most of my notifications via an RSS feed. When the bird photo showed up in my reader, I had to double check that I was looking at your blog. π But I do like it and look forward to future bird photos.
I know, what’s a bird photo doing in the middle of all the flowers? I have a lot of photos of hummingbirds that I’ve been able to take in the past and I’ll start posting them every now and then. I really do love birds.
I love hummingbirds. The only species we have here is the ruby-throated hummingbird. It will be fun to see other species.
I don’t really know a whole lot about birds…all I know is what I see out my office window. I used to call the Scrub Jay a Blue Jay until someone corrected me. Now I’m really hesitant to name birds OR flowers here on this blog…in case I’ve got it wrong. π
As to naming species at my blog, I rush in where angels fear to tread. π

Whichever kind of Jay he/she is, he needs a bath…. π Dashing, but looks like he played a bit rough today….
He looked to me like a little guy with his arms folded behind his back, taking in the whole lawn situation… π
