Oak Tree within a Wild Field of Mustard

Oak Tree within a Wild Field of Mustard

It’s amazing what you can see taking a back road to the other side of town…at least in my neck of the woods. 🙂 This field of wild mustard looked like it stretches all the way to the base of the hills in the distance. A beautiful sight to behold!

Beautiful shot, and makes me homesick a bit, as it looks very much like the country I grew up in during my youth. It wouldn’t happen to be in the San Luis Obispo county area of California, would it? It looks exactly like a picture of the Edna valley area, or the hills out near Creston, east of Atascadero…. old California oak & madrone forest, and mustard as far as the eye can see….

It’s northern California, about an hour from San Francisco…not far from wine country. The oak trees are beautiful in this area. Thanks for your admiration of this shot…sorry I made you feel homesick. 🙂
